Nellie Fay Sandlin, 91, of Greenville, died in Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville on Sunday, June 1, 2008. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Bob Vangalaf officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Sandlin was born in Greenville on June 12, 1916, the daughter of William Charles and Florence Farmby Cummings. On February 8, 1935, in Greenville, she married Howard Sandlin. She was a homemaker and member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors are her husband, Howard Sandlin of Greenville; daughters, Debbie Perez of Greenville and Shirley Flippin and husband Rex of Sulphur Springs; son, Sam Sandlin and wife Jenn of Bonham; grandchildren, Ginger Huffman, Kelly Garrett, Lori Buchanan, Jason Sandlin, Tammy Gatlin, Amy Sandlin, Shawn Perez, and Staci Perez; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Sandlin.
