MARTIN B. SPEER

 

Martin B. Speer, 65 of Greenville, died January 22, 2008 at his residence following a lenghty illness.

 

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 28, 2008 at the D/FW National Cemetery.

 

Martin was born September 28, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Jerome and Loretta Newport Speer. He married Carol Mitchell in February of 1979 in Dallas, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a long haul driver for eleven years and retired from Sears after 29 years as a service technician.

 

He is survived by his wife, Carol Speer of Greenville; a son, Timothy Speer of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Jennifer Speer of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Lisa Capps of Dallas and Beth Wood of Greenville; a brother, Thomas Speer of Plumboro, Pennsylvania; a sister, Alberta Speer of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
