Annie MalcomO’Pry

Annie Malcom O’Pry, 87 of Greenville passed away on March 16, 2012 at the Hunt Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Meador.  Interment will be at Celeste Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born July 30, 1924 in Hickory Creek, Annie was the daughter of Raymond and Vinnie Nell Orsburn Phillips.  On January 27, 1946 in Dallas, she married William Marvin Malcom.  He preceded her in death on October 3, 1959, she later married William “Tink” O’Pry and he preceded her in death.  She retired from the GISD as a cafeteria worker and was a member of the Peniel Baptist Church.

Her survivors include her sons, Don Malcom and wife Donna of Greenville, Ron Malcom and wife Rachelle of McKinney, Richard Malcom of Washington, Pennsylvania; daughters, Sherry Meador and husband Ray of Galveston, Phyllis Matthews and husband Jim of Kaufman; sister, Patricia Sealy of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 7 sisters and 6 brothers.
