Floyd HenryLowe

Floyd Henry Lowe, 80, of Greenville passed away July 11, 2012 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Dr. F. Bobby Atkins and Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Born May 8, 1932 in Greenville, Floyd was the son of Floyd and Eveline (Young) Lowe.

On October 21, 1981, he married Joan Hope in Greenville.  He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War.  After 35 years, he retired from E/Systems as an aircraft electrician.  Floyd was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church and volunteered with Highland Terrace Church Builders and Texas Baptist Men. 

His survivors include his wife of Greenville; sons Steve Ragland and wife Crystal of Rockwall, Steve Narramore and wife Sandra of Commerce, and Mark Narramore and wife Holley of Commerce; granddaughters Rachel Ragland of Rockwall and Marlena Narramore of Commerce; grandsons Jared Ragland of Rockwall and Mason Narramore of Camp Pendleton; sisters Dorothy McGee and Melba Deaton both of Greenville; several nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and Floyd’s favorite friend Newbee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Lois Orr and one nephew David Swanson.

Pallbearers will be Bill Baldwin, Billy Maroney, Roy Rayburn, Amos Lowery, Martin Strand, and Chuck Foti.  Honorary pallbearers will be members of Shepherds Flock Bible Study Class.
