"I so enjoyed getting to know Jean while I served at the United Way of Hunt County. She made me feel so welcome and loved. She was such an incredible example for all of us in reaching out and serving others. One time when my mom came to visit, I had mentioned previously that my mom might enjoy an event she was having at the church, so she made sure that we were invited to come to the church for that special cooking/cookbook event. We went, and my mom loved it! From that point on, every time I saw Jean she would ask how my mom was doing; that always meant a lot to me. I also wanted to say Thank You to her family for sharing her with us; I know time volunteering is time away from you, but she made a difference in people's lives....and that's about all any of us can hope for...

Sincerely,
Stacey Blasingame
