Bessie MaeStrickland

Bessie Mae Strickland, 82, of Greenville passed away October 24, 2012 at Hunt Regional Medical Center.  Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Celeste Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born September 26, 1930, in Floyd, Bessie was the daughter of Roy and Willie Lou (Davenport) Wilson.  She grew up in the Floyd community and graduated from Floyd High School.  She worked as an attendant at the Pythian Guest House.

Her survivors include her sons Rickey Hise and wife, Ann of Greenville and Harold Ray Hise of Redmon, Washington; daughter Vickie Hackney of Marion, South Dakota; brother Albert Wilson and wife, Elvira of Garland; 9 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Don Wilson, sisters Della Woods and Margaret Hicks.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Hise, Scott Hise, Brad Hise, Dean Clites, Mitch Chesne, Michael Sheets and Wade Sheets.
