Bessie Dorine Jones, 65 of Farmersville died on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 5:22 P.M. at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11 A.M. at Little Elm Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Hickey officiating.
She was born on October 21, 1942 in Wright City, Oklahoma to Henry Ernest Calahan and Eula Chapell. She married Gary Jones on October 28, 1967 in Greenville. She worked for the Dallas ISD in the library, counselor and principal's office and was loved by everyone. She was a former Eastern Star member.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Stone of Rockwall and Paige Reeves of Mesquite, sister, Dorothy Green of Arkansas, brothers, Kenneth (L.D) Calahan of South Carolina and Harvey (R.J.) Calahan of Alaska, grandchildren, Jessica Reeves, Ashley Reeves, Justin Reeves, Kymber Reeves, Alex Reeves and Cydne Reeves and one great-grandchild, Jazmine Reeves.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Barbara Jean Burris.
Pallbearers will be John Cox, Shorty Cummings, Aaron Reeves, Alex Reeves, Justin Reeves and Stuart Reeves.
Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2008 from 6 to 8 P.m. at the funeral home.
