"I am so sorry for Hewett's passing and especially for the loss his family will feel. My father, Jesse Lemons, loved Hewett dearly. I would often see them laughing together at church telling each other jokes and stories. When Dad was placed at Briarcliff, Hewett would visit him. While Dad was lucid, he looked so forward to seeing and visiting his old friend. Hopefully he was there to shake his hand when Hewett crossed over. Two good friends together again!

"The passing of a family member is always the hardest cross we have to bear. You will always remember them smiling, crying, joking around. You will always remember how much he loved you, your wife and his grandchildren. You will always want to pick up the phone to call him, and then hesitate..........He is in a greater place than this earth. You have to be patience to be able to find out one day."

"Our deepest sympathy to all the family. If the good die young, God overlooked him, because he was one of the best."
