Sandra was born in National City, California on July 1, 1950. She was the daughter of Carroll Layton and Doris Lee Simco. She was married to Jim Rutherford.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Greenville and her father, Carroll Layton of Taylor, Texas. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Edith Layton.
