Joe Carl Bruton, 69 of Greenville passed away on December 31, 2013 at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Church at Covenant Ranch with Pastor Butch Bruton officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Joe was born March 11, 1944 in Greenville to Collin B. (C. B.) and Edith Hagler Bruton. He was retired from Raytheon and of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include brother, Butch Bruton and wife Darlene of Caddo Mills; sister, Colleen Thomas of Caddo Mills; nephews, Kevin Thomas and wife Cindy of North Carolina, Monty Bruton and wife Jennifer of Caddo Mills; nieces, Kay Tapp and husband Rick of Dallas, Kathy Summers and husband Vic of Caddo Mills, Leslie Crow and husband Chad of Caddo Mills and several great-nephews and nieces.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Kenneth Bradford Bruton; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Thomas.
