Betty Stracener Betty Joyce Stracener, 72 of Gordonville, formerly of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Betty was born on May 14, 1941 in Greenville to Arburn C. and Ethel Faye Stevens Hendry. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son Bobby Holly of Greenville; brother, Carlton Hendry of Gordonville; and sister, June Kay Hotchkiss of Quinlan. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister. Pallbearers will be James Stuckey, David Stuckey, Charlie Wilson, Jerry Sandlin, Jackie Isham and Jerry Roberts.
