Eric Dinsmore
Eric Hamby Dinsmore, 87 of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Carr officiating. A Masonic graveside will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday until service time at the funeral home.
Eric was born in Greenville on August 24, 1926 to Eric Ellington and Winnie Wilburn Hamby Dinsmore. He married Ruby Loneta Greer on December 26, 1945. He served his country by serving in the Merchant Marines and worked as a welder with General Motors. He also served with the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his nieces, Patsy Self and husband Keith, Johnnie Watson of Murfreesboro, AR; nephews, Raymond Greer and wife Ilene of Houston, Mark Greer of Greenville; and special friends, Glenn and Linda Acker of Greenville, Dixie George, Dennis and Deana Sanford.
Eric is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Eakin, Lawrence George, Dennis Sanford, Jim Ed Moore, Scott Greer, Jim Sanford and Joe Sanford.
