David John Hoffman
David John Hoffman, 76, of Greenville, died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Cotten officiating. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born in Massillon, Ohio on May 16, 1938, David was the son of John Nicholas Hoffman and Dorothy Mae Jones Hoffman. He married Shirley Williams on August 6, 1959 in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was Director of Paris Junior College, Greenville campus; an Electrical Engineer with E-Systems; and formerly worked for NAD Crane in Bedford, Indiana and Agency for International Development in Montevideo, Uruguay. He was a member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hoffman of Greenville; son, John Gregory Hoffman and wife, Allie of Greenville; daughters, Tanja Marie Hoffman of Plano and Judith Gwen Ramseyer of Plano; brother, Daryl Hoffman of Massillon, Ohio; sister-in-law, Noretta Gillespie of Gallipolis, Ohio; and granddaughters, Abigale Lane Hoffman of Greenville and Megan Josephine Ramseyer of Plano. He was preceded in death by his parents.
