Doris Ellen Smith
Doris Ellen Smith, 84, of Greenville, died Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Nash, Texas under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville. Visitation will be Monday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born in Marietta, Texas on April 14, 1930, she was the daughter of Erwin Clayton Eaton and Willie Pauline Boddie Eaton. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Boston Chapter of the Eastern Star and a Baptist.
Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Hare of Dallas and Linda Faires and husband Carroll of Nevada; brothers, Jon Eaton and wife, Nelda and Willie Ray Eaton; grandsons, David Reyna of Garland and Glen T. Perdue, Jr. and wife, Cayla of Mesquite; four great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Smith; two grandchildren, Samuel Loftis and Wendy Loftis; sister, Earnestine Brown and brother, Cecil Eaton.
