Margaret Ann Wood
Margaret Ann Wood, 81 of Sachse passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in Garland, Texas. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Dorsey officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service Saturday.
Mrs. Wood was born on August 28, 1933 in Greenville, Texas to Freeman Grady Hales and Myrtle Louise Neal. She married Jerry A. Wood on June 27, 1958 in Greenville, Texas, they were married for 53 years. They moved to Garland in 1964. She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Pointe Church at Firewheel in Garland.
She is survived by her son, Tracy Wood of Austin, daughter, Amy McCormick and husband, Randy of Benton, Arkansas; brother, Neal Hales and wife, Donna of Greenville; granddaughter, Haley McCormick of Benton, Arkansas; nieces, Deanne Hensley and husband, Robert of Heath, Karen Gilmer and husband, Jay of Greenville and Angie Anderton and husband, Rickey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; five great-nieces and multiple cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry A. Wood; brother, Larry Hales; sister, Billie Jean Corley; brother-in-law, G.V. Corley; and multiple special aunts and uncles.
