June Catherine Floyd, 89 of Greenville passed away on April 2, 2008 at her Daughter's residence in Forney. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas. Mrs. Floyd was born on June 1, 1918 in Matador, Motley County, Texas to John H. Gipson and Bertie Guffey. She married Waitman M. Floyd in Bangor, Maine. She was a bookkeeper for The First Bank of Celeste and a member of First Methodist Church of Celeste. She is survived by her daughter, Marianna Hale and husband, Fred of Forney, granchildren, Justin Hale of Bryan, Nathan Hale of Lewisville, Joshua Hively of San Antonio and Megan Hively of San Antonio and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965, daughter, Catherine Floyd Hively in 2007, three sisters and one brother. Pallbearers will be Justin Hale, Nathan Hale, Bob Barnard, Robert Turner, Larry Rowe and Mike Weatherly. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Barnard. Visitation will be Saturday, from 1 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or First United Methodist Church of Celeste.
