Lawrence Eunice George, 67 of Campbell, TX passed away on August 8, 2015 in Dallas, TX. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 10 AM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Michael Ravenelle officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
He was born in Delta County, Texas on June 18, 1948 to James Eunice George and Willie Carmen Glaspie. He married Dixie Greer on September 18, 1972 in Oklahoma. He was a butcher and retired as market manager from Brookshires in 2010. He enjoyed working part time at Emory Food Mart after his retirement. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie George of Campbell, son, Michael George and wife, Lindsay, daughter, Misty Lair and husband, Michael, step-daughter, Wendy Mann and husband, Shawn, brother, Charles “Sonny” George, sister, Barbara Walls, grandchildren, Sean Joslin, Keaton Fields and Ethan Lair, and great-grandchild, Macy Joslin.
He is preceded in death by his step-son, Jimmy Joslin, parents, brothers, James George, Kenneth George, Donald Wayne George and sister, Pauline St. Clair.
