Louise Francis Foote, 85, of Campbell, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow at Brigham Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Louise was born on November 18, 1929 in Hunt County, Texas to Percy Duell and Ludia Kirby Backus. She married her high school sweetheart Herbert Wayne Foote on June 19, 1947 in Campbell, Texas. They celebrated 68 loving years together. She was a homemaker and exceptional caretaker for her family including her parents and in-laws. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Campbell.
Louise is survived by her husband, Herbert Wayne Foote; son, John Edward Foote and wife, Dr. Martha Foote; daughters, Linda Louise Dawson and husband, Dennis, Martha Ann Parrish, Carol Elaine Harrison; brothers, Wayne Backus and wife, Margie, Dr. Kirby Backus and wife, Hortense; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and one more on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Henry Backus, Mason Backus and Thomas Backus.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
