Gene Peacock
Odis E. “Gene” Peacock, 86, of Campbell, died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Legend Health Care. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Daw and Frank Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Mr. Peacock was born in Dallas, Texas on October 1, 1929. He was the son of Odis S. Peacock and Ruby Taylor Peacock. He married Virginia Combs on August 20, 1955 in Dallas. He attended University of Texas at Arlington and Texas Tech University. He was a member of Johnson Street Church of Christ and was retired from Texas Instruments in Dallas. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Peacock; brother, David Peacock; sisters, Mary Hall and Carroll Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; sister, Dorothy Knowles; and brother Douglas Peacock.
Pallbearers will be Denny Hilton, Gary Combs, Ryan Jordan, Bob Wilhite, Steve Peacock and James Whitney Jordan.
