She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In retirement years, Louise and William enjoyed travelling the country and spent many happy times in the Valley of South Texas and in Kentucky visiting with family. "Very saddened to hear of Aunt Louise's death. My deepest condolences to Uncle Bill and the rest of the family. I will never forget the loving and stern care she gave to my grandfather, her brother Dennis (she was probably the the only person he would listen to!). I remember fondly visiting her when my grandmother died and talking to her and uncle Bill on the phone doing genealogical research. I share with students in my US History class the story of her receiving roller skates from her brother James after he died in the attack on Pearl Harbor. Aunt Louise was a tremendous woman, and I will always have fond memories of her. Blessings to you all, and sorry we couldn't make the trip from Wyoming to honor her memory."
