"Karen, Jill and Jon we were sadden to learn about your Dad. Mother and I were unable to come last night or today for the funeral. After your mom died, mother and I would see him at Walmart grocery shopping and would visit for about 5 minutes. He always knew me and mother both and was always interested in how things were going with us. We dropped by the funeral home yesterday to sign the his registry because he was a friend of mother and daddy's. Their generation were workers that were always busy; they just kept on keeping on and I am sure that kept them here longer. Just want you all to know that we thought a lot of Jack.

Shirley Ferguson and Mazie Coker."
