Malcolm (Mack) Elder, 67, of the Jacobia community, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Hazelip officiating. Interment will be in Old Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 PM until service time, Saturday.
Mack was born in Beaumont, Texas on May 25, 1949. He was the son of Harry B. Elder and Ruth Ratliff Elder. He married Jean Waddle on March 4, 1973, in Jacobia. He was retired from Economy Sales in Greenville.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Elder of Jacobia; son, Jason Elder and wife, Kelly of Glen Rose; sister, Elouise Thompson of Keller; and grandchildren, Austin, Jenna and Jesse. He was preceded in death by his parents.
