James A. (Jim) Bowman, 80, of Greenville, died Friday, June 3, 2016 in Kindred Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. James Ralson officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 PM until service time.
Mr. Bowman was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 13, 1935. He was the son of Beve Ross Bowman and Amy Jane Weaver Bowman. He married Doris Faye Gillum on June 30, 1963 in Washington. He was a retired truck driver and member of Bible Missionary Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda Evans and husband, Ron of Tulsa and Gerri Bowman of Greenville; sons, Roger Bowman and wife, Ruth of Tulsa, Allen Bowman and wife, Brenda of Tulsa and Ronnie Bowman of Greenville; step-daughter, Brenda Womack of Tulsa; and best friend, Ron Hargett and wife, Marcia of Greenville; and twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and grandson, Aaron Keith Womack.
