Lloyd Franklin Lanier 70, of Celeste, passed away on June 3, 2016 in Celeste. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Celeste High School Gymnasium with Mr. Rick Henslee officiating. Services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mr. Lanier was born on March 27, 1946 in Greenville, Texas to William Lanier and Ruby Wallace Lanier. He married Paula Harless on October 15, 1964 in Kingston, Texas. He was an electrician and a member of the Church of Christ in Kingston.
He is survived by his son, Jess Lanier and wife, Rebecca of Katy, daughter, Colette Paris and husband, James of McKinney, Shannon Wright and husband, Kelly of Frisco, brother, Duard Hill and wife, Jackie of Delco, N.C. and Bob Lanier of Greenville, grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Trent Smith, Mason Paris, Brenlee Wright, River Wright, Jaxon Lanier, Jaycie Lanier, Jacob Lanier, great-grandchildren, Ty Smith and Cy Smith, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William Hill, G.L. Hill, Clifford Hill, Jones Lanier, Douglas Lanier and sister, Freda White.
Married high school sweethearts, united in love for 51 years that God called home to spend eternity together.
