Marjorie Elizabeth Williams, 88, of Greenville, passed on October 29, 2016 at Legends Healthcare. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating. Burial will follow at Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Marjorie was born in Cooper, Texas on October 24, 1928 to Andrew Benjamin and Elizabeth McComack Dawson. She married Loyd Mayo Williams in 1945 in Greenville. She was a member of Park St. Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for over 50 years.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Steven Mayo Williams and wife, Eva, Randal Loyd Williams and wife, Elizabeth Jean, Jerry Elizabeth Tapley and husband, Ronnie, Carol Marie Burdette; sister, Bobbie Dawson Noles; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lee Roy Ivey; grandchildren, Tracy Drake, Steven Ray Williams; and great-grandchild, Kevin Pendergrass.
