Gary Lynn Gibson
Gary Lynn Gibson, 72, of Celeste, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at Lexington Medical Lodge in Farmersville. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Interment will be in Merit Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Gibson was born in Greenville on August 21, 1944. He was the son of Billie Joe Gibson and Genelle Morton Gibson. He married Lucy Shanks on February 14, 1963. He was veteran of the U. S. Army and was a Clerk-Carrier for the U. S. Postal Service in Bonham. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Celeste.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Gibson; sons, Joel Gibson and wife, Heather and Jeff Gibson; brothers, Bill Gibson and Dale Gibson and wife, Leslie; grandchildren, Josh Gibson, Skylar Gibson, Whitney McIntyre, Randy Stratton, Starla Harrell, Trey McIntyre and Alicia McIntyre; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Donna Gibson.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Rhoden, Kyle Morton, Allen Wolfe, Matt Gibson, Dustin Gibson and Ray Buckley. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Hise and Paul Harrell.
