Janie Lou Dickson Lemons, died Sunday, May 25, 2008, in Arlington. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at 10:00 AM, at Woodland West Church of Christ in Arlington under the direction of Moore Funeral Home, Arlington, with Randy Todd officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Janie was born in Merit, Texas, on September 23, 1940, the daughter of W. K. and Annie Mae Dickson. She was a member of Woodland West Church of Christ and retired from the Arlington Independent School District where she taught at Duff Elementary School for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Lemons of Arlington; son Bobby Lemons and his wife, Debra of Katy; daughter, Mitzi Lemons of Arlington; daughter, Gala Jones and her husband, Kevin of Arlington; grandchildren, Kyle and Kregg Lemons and Hanna Jones; sister, Helen Russell and her husband, Billy of Cash; brother Donald Dickson and his wife, Wendelyn of College Station; sister-in-law, Vicki Aldridge and husband John of Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington.
