Billy Jo Martin, 90, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Briarcliff Healthcare. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Mr. Charles Roberts officiating. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano.
Billy Jo was born on December 2, 1926 in Greenville, Texas to James Harbard and Ethel Mae Rice Smith. She was a secretary and retired from the City of Greenville and Hunt County. She was a former member of Central Christian Church, then a member of the Seventh Day Adventist.
Billy Jo was survived by her sons, Alan Martin and friend, Kathy Hunt of Greenville, Ric Martin and wife, Collen of Whitney, Terry Martin and wife, Donna of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Eric Martin of Rowlett, Brooke Davis and husband, Shane of Houston, Michael Austin & wife, Kim of Cedar Hill, Michele Spears and husband, Allen of Whitney, Wendy Jerrells and husband, Chris of McKinney, Zach Martin of Lexington, KY, Lisa Mullins Jones of Georgetown, KY, Laura Morse and husband, Bart of Georgetown, KY, Tonya Hunt, Sheila Hunt, Tracy Hunt all of Greenville; 15 Great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur Exline Martin; siblings, Thomas Smith, Dorothy Wright and Martha Shaw; and grand-daughter-in-law Sara Lee Martin.
