 Farrell Dewain Freeman, 62, of Greenville died the morning of May 29, 2008, in his residence. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Highland Terrace Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. D.D. Sumrall Jr. and Rev. Larry Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Son of Herbert and Mary Lois Haney Freeman, he was born May 11, 1946, in Greenville. On May 26, 1968, he married Sandra Cathryn White in Greenville. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Mr. Freeman retired from the Greenville Independent School District after teaching for 30 years. He was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church where he served in the Media Department.Surviving are his wife of Greenville; his parents of Greenville; two sons, Keith Freeman and wife Stefani of McKinney and Kendall Freeman and wife Cynthia of Greenville; a brother, Jim Freeman of Garland; sister Retha Kilgore and husband Jim of Greenville; and grandchildren Valerie Freeman and Brandon Freeman of McKInney and Tristan Freeman of Greenville.Jeremy Kilgore, Jason Kilgore, Brad Freeman, Bill Windle, Kerry Hughes, David White and Loren Johnson will serve as pallbearers; and media staff of Highland Terrace Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.Memorials may be made to the Media Department of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
