Alice G. Dearing, 79, of Greenville died the morning of June 10, 2008 at Baylor Medical Center of Dallas. Funeral services will be at l0:00 AM Saturday June 14th in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bobby Renfro officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 6-8 pm Friday, June 13th at the funeral home.
Daughter of William and Anne VanDyke Brower, she was born October 9, l928 in Kalamazoo,Michigan. On February 28, 1947, she was married to John Lanting,Jr.,he died May 30, l989. She then married Neel Dearing,Jr. on January 5, l991, in Greenville. Mrs. Dearing retired from the classified Department of a newspaper. She volunteered for many years with FISH and Presbyterian Hospital of Greeenville.
Surviving are her husband of Greenville, a son and daughter-in-law, John W. Sr. and Penny Lanting of Thomson,Ga., a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Page Graham of Euless, grandchildren John W. Lanting,Jr. of Martinez, Ga., Gary A. Lanting of Plano, Jeffrey T. Lanting of Hilton Head, S.C., Jerry L. Lanting of Evans, Ga., Michelle K. Lanting of Thomson, Ga. Shane Davis Graham of Euless, Christina Graham Jones of Lewisville, Brandy Stewart of San Bernadino, Calif. and Joshua Lanting of Mission Viejo,Ca. and 14 great-grandchildreb.
Mrs. Dearing was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, a son, Bruce Laning and grandson Bruce Lanting,Jr..
