Dennis Bruce Jacks, 62, of Greenville, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.
Bruce, as his family knew him, was born August 7, 1955 in Greenville. He was the son of Dale and Bennie Bowen Jacks. He married Molly Wooten on June 14, 1980 in Greenville. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a Master Plumber for over 30 years.
Bruce loved his wife, children and grandchildren more than anything in this world. In his spare time, when he was not playing with his grandchildren, he liked to hunt, fish, work in his yard – if you ever drove by his home, you knew it was the best groomed and most beautiful yard in Greenville. His home away from home was Ammo Depot in Caddo Mills, Texas. He worked on the gun range not only helping people in the range, but he cooked on the weekends, he babysat their children, always had candy for the kids and a movie for the kids playing at all times. He always decorated for the holidays and especially loved Halloween. Bruce was a very hard working man and his son said our hearts hurt for Bruce being cheated out the years with his wife, kids and grandkids. They were the most important to him.
He is survived by his wife, Molly Wooten Jacks of Greenville; parents, Dale and Bennie Jacks of Sherman; children, Dallas Clayton Jacks and wife, Magen of Greenville, Caleb Jacob Jacks of The Colony, Emily Jacks Bragg and husband, Zak of Greenville; grandchildren, Lillian Jacks, Levi Jacks and Greyson Bragg, all of Greenville. Also surviving are siblings, Brian Jacks and wife, Mary of Waco, Keith Jacks and wife, Peggy of Wylie, Jana Hamilton and husband, Lloyd of Waco, Kara Helm and husband, Mark Stephens of Pottsboro and Kevin Jacks and wife, Ginger of Montgomery, Alabama. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law surviving include Randy Wooten and wife, Gayle of Richmond, Texas, Tim Wooten and wife, Cassie of Greenville, Jon Wooten and wife, Nancy of Sanger, James Wooten and wife, Marie of Plano, Polly Wooten Langford and husband, Mike of Greenville; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
