Ruby Jean Bivins, 89 of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Oak Manor Nursing Home. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 A.M., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bivins was born on May 7, 1928 in Fannin County, Texas near Bonham to Charles Cramer Crutcher and Ethel Mae Henson. She married Ira Franklin Bivins on July 21, 1947 in Wolfe City, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Lynn Bivins of Commerce, brother, Paul Bland Crutcher, sister, Vera Nell Dickey and husband, L.H., grandchildren, John David Bivins, Joni Michelle Bivins and James Michael Bivins, along with six nephews and two nieces.
She is preceded in death by her husband on January 15, 2001, son, Larry Franklin Bivins, her parents and grandparents.
