Charles D. Segler, 90 of Greenville passed away on December 28, 2017 at Tender Care. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A private burial will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell, Texas.
Charles was born in Dundee, Texas on September 9, 1927 to James Segler and Maggie Puttett Segler. Charles married Elva Grace Hickman on February 18, 1948 in Brentwood, California. Charles was a letter carrier in Mesa Arizona for 20 years and loved to travel with his church on several mission trips to Africa and Russia. Charles was a member of Mesa Church of Christ.
Charles is survived by his wife Grace of Greenville, Daughters Kathy Treadway and husband Gary of Ontario, California, Rebecca Romig of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Terri Stapp and husband Craig of Greenville, Texas, Grandchildren Dianne Contreras, Danielle Worden, Dawn McLaughlin, John Johnson, Brandi Danielson and Dustin Stapp, and nine great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
