Mary Anne Matthews, 72 of Greenville, formerly of Plano, passed away on January 12, 2018 at her residence. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 P.M., Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keenan Williams officiating.
Mrs. Matthews was born on November 20, 1945 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Hugh Milton Erwin, III and Ruth Burgess. She married Philip Matthews in Dallas, Texas on August 5, 1972. She was a retail owner and of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband of Greenville; sons, Russell Steindam Matthews of Nashville, Tennessee and Philip C. Matthews, Jr. of Dallas; brother, Robert Erwin of Hope, Arkansas; and sister, Margaret Stephens of Arlington.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Hugh Erwin IV, father-in-law, Bill Matthews Sr. and mother-in-law, Sue Matthews.
