Boud Ophell Bridges, Age 96, of Greenville passed away on Monday, June 23, 2008, at Briarcliff Nursing Center. Services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 25th at Wesley United Methodist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Gould officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home and from Noon until service time at Wesley United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
Mrs. Bridges was born on January 31, 1912 in Memphis, Tennessee to Charles M. Stevenson and Eliza Clementine Oar Stevenson. She married William P Bridges in Quinlan. She was a homemaker and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Her survivors include her sons Larry Bridges and wife, Ada of Bridge City and William Bridges and wife, Barbara of Friendswood; her daughter LaWanda Nell Elmore of Greenville; and numerous grandchildren and great-granadchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980, fifteen brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be William Bridges, Larry Bridges, Shawn Elmore, Tommy Dickens, Clayton George, and Scott Bridges.
