Hugh David Spradling, Jr., 82 of Campbell died Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Ralson officiating. Interment will follow in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Spradling was born in Greenville on March 24, 1936. He was the son of Hugh David Spradling, Sr. and Annie M. Spruill. He married Teddie Mae Mitchell on July 31, 1954 in Greenville. He was the owner of Spradling’s Greenhouse and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Teddie Spradling of Campbell; son, David Spradling of Campbell; daughters, Barbara Spradling-Pemberton and husband Gary of Greenville, Judy Spradling Hartline of Crockett, Vickie Spradling Hartline of Campbell and Destiny Hartline of Commerce; brother, Tommy Spradling and wife Grace of Greenville; sisters, Virginia Spradling Stuart and husband Edd of Campbell, Elizabeth Spradling Rippy of Greenville and Juanita Spradling; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Tracy Spradling, four brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers will be David Spradling, Gary Pemberton, Jr., Josh Pemberton, Matthew Pemberton, Shawn Hartline and Dakota Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobo Hartline, Ricky Hartline, Jr., Ricky Hartline, III and River Hartline.
