Fred Arey
Fred Arey, 99, of Commerce, died Friday, December 15, 2018. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 16, 2018 in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Josh Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until service time Sunday.
Mr. Arey was born in Hunt County, Texas on November 29, 1919. He was the son of Milford Arey and Ova Mae Tettleton Arey. He married Maudell Luckett on August 14, 1943 in Hunt County. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a retired farmer. Mr. Arey was a member of the Fairlie Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother-in-law, Harold Luckett; sister-in-law, Jean Luckett McQueary; nieces, Lucille Davis, Patricia Mayabb and Brenda Reneau; and nephews, Randy Arey and Ronnie Reneau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maudell Arey; brothers, Lonnie Arey and G. E. Arey; and sisters, Bernice Collins and Marie Reneau.
Pallbearers will be Paul McQueary, Phil McQueary, Truett McQueary, Brandon Luckett, Cody Benson and Brant Bishop.
