"I just recently learned of Jimmy's passing Luckily I had the opportunity to message him on Facebook not long ago.
Jimmy hired me as the deep night dispatcher for Greenville PD back in 1974. If I could see him today, I would thank him for hiring me and giving me a chance to prove myself. This chance worked into a successful career with the Texas Department of Public Safety

Thank you Jimmy. God Bless; Rest in peace my friend."

"I remember Jimmy from my early elementary school years at Mt. Bethel rural school (Highway 34). He was a few grades ahead of me, but I remember him. We were Facebook friends in recent years."
