LaVelle Corley, 88, of Greenville died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. today at Jacobia Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Hazelip is officiating.Mrs. Corley was born July 26, 1920, in Hunt County; the daughter of W.M. and Lou Bell Yost Fields. She was married to Hershel Coley on Aug. 22, 1970, in Hunt County.She was a packer for Lance Inc. and a member of Old Concord Baptist Church.Surviving are son, Ronnie Boggs of Dallas; sister, Eubie Swiney of Greenville; and grandsons, Jason Allen Boggs, Brandon Jay Boggs and Hunter Ryan Boggs.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Sept. 21, 1995; seven brothers and four sisters.
