Edith Ruth Lamm, age 97, of Greenville passed away on September 10, 2008 at Greencrest Manor. Services wil be held on Friday, September 12th at 2:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Andy Talley officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stailey was born on August 25, 1911 in Kaufman County to Turner Wilson Singleton and Iola Roberts. On November 6, 1932, she married Orville Carl Lamm in Hunt County. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Marie Stailey of Greenville; sister Bess Swinson of Wolfe City; Grandsons Carl Walls and wife, Stephanie, Gary Walls and wife, Gayle, Rodney Stailey and wife, Misty all of Greenville; 6 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandhildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Betty Walls Sprouse; 2 sons-in-law Jerry Stailey and George Walls; grandson Jerry Lee Stailey; great-grandchild Holden Stailey; 3 sisters; and 5 brothers.
