Andrew James “AJ” Wright, 13, of Caddo Mills, passed away on May the Fourth 2020 at his residence. AJ was born March 22, 2007 in Allen, Texas to Andy and Jennifer Wright.  AJ was a 7th grade student at Caddo Mills Middle School where his activities included the Caddo Mills Band, Robotics, Beta Club and UIL Academics. He was a member of The Quest Church in Royse City where he was baptized on March 6, 2016. AJ had a deep love for Star Wars and was very passionate about music, robotics and space. He dreamed of one day obtaining a degree in aeronautical engineering and working at NASA.

He is survived by his parents, Andy and Jennifer Wright; sister, Hannah Wright; brother, Henry Wright; grandparents, Mark & Carol Wright, Pauline Leathers; and great-grandmother, Mary Wright. He is also survived by multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. His grandfather, Jimmie Lee Leathers, preceded him in death.

The Celebration of Life will be held on May 15th at 1:00PM at the Wright family property in Caddo Mills TX.

We will have a large open air tent with chairs for 200 people. In addition to the seating in the tent we will have 5 acres of open space for lawn chairs so that social distancing can be accommodated per Texas State guidelines. We will have an area at the memorial to display any personal notes or posters from the students of Caddo Mills. The pasture is normally home to cattle so we suggest that you plan accordingly - long pants and closed toe shoes are highly recommended. Plenty of parking will be available in the grass on our property.

If you would like to make a donation in AJs memory, a GoFundMe has been established https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-memory-of-aj-wright?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link-tip&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to charitable organizations in his memory.

For those who can not attend in person we are planning to stream the event live over the internet. The details are still pending, but will be updated in the next couple of days.

"AJ was a special young man! I am beyond blessed to have taught him. He was compassionate, kind, and joyful. He embraced life with passion!! It was hard to be around him and not smile. He may have left this world early, but he left a mark way bigger than most people do. Love you all so very much and will continue praying."
