Timothy Brown, age 61, of Cleburne passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at his residence. A “Celebration of Life” service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating.
Mr. Brown was born on February 23, 1947 in Greenville, Texas to Ples and Cleo Ezell Brown. On October 14, 1967, he married Karla Hitchcock in Greenville. Tim served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam era. He was a tool builder for L-3 Communications, and he was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was an avid lifelong golfer being a member of several local courses. For over 4 decades, he was very involved in youth sports helping set up the Youth Sports Association in Greenville many years ago.
His survivors include his wife, Karla of Cleburne; son Corey Brown and wife, Susan of Ft. Worth; grandson Berk Brown of Ft. Worth; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Gloria Nation; mother-in-law and father-in-law Walter and Madeline Hitchcock; brother-in-law Benny Hitchcock; nieces Nicole Krantz and Inge Teel; and cousin Matt Gaddis.
