Ruth Wright
Ruth Helen Wright, 94, of Greenville, joined her Lord and family on Saturday, October 11, 2008, at Hunt Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, October 13, 2008, at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Paul Gould officiating. Burial will be in Celeste Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Wright, Doyle Wright, Larry Wright, Neil Wright, Donnie Evans and Ralph Evans Jr.
Mrs. Wright was born April 16, 1914,in Celeste, Texas, to Henry Grady and Katie Fitzwater Evans. She married Wayland Wright in October 1931 in Greenville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist church in White Rock Community. She loved to sew, quilt, garden and paint as her hobbies.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Wright of Greenville and Waylond Joe Wright and wife, Carolyn; one brother, Ralph Evans and wife Winnie, of Celeste; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Evans of Greenville; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jerry Steve Wright in 2003; two sisters, Mona Wright and Emma Jo Purcell and one brother, Gene Evans.
