Paula Rodriguez Vargas, 80, of Commerce, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Greenville. A Rosary and Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Marco Antonio Cruz officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vargas was born on June 7, 1940 in San Luis Potosi Mexico to Isidro Rodriguez and Dionicia Vargas. She married Jose Genaro Salinas. She was a homemaker and a member of Iglesia Guadalupana and St. Williams Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons, Lino Salinas, Marin Salinas and wife, Zonia; daughters, Nestora DeLeon, Clara Salinas, Adela Gurerro, Letty DeLeon and Hilda Mendoza; brothers, Cornelio Rodriguez and Candelario Rodriguez; sisters, Tita Rodriguez, Quirina Rodriguez and Juana Rodriguez; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sons, Nicolas Salinas and Basilio Salinas and daughter, Elida Salinas.
Pallbearers will be Lino Salinas, Marin Salinas, Oracio Salinas, Omar Salinas, Cesar DeLeon and Jonathan Mendoza.
