Jerry Don Turner, 81, of Garland, passed away on January 28, 2021 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at East Mount Cemetery with Dr. Lee Steglich officiating. Viewing will be at 1:00 p.m. until service time at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Jerry was born April 14, 1939 in Floyd, Texas to Fred and Wilma McClelland Turner. He married Barbara Ann Jarrell on November 24, 1965 in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a claims manager for Ohio Casualty and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Richardson.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Turner; sisters, Kay King and husband, Walter, Carol Petty and husband, Dan; brother-in-law, Richard Lewis Jarrell; nephews, Ryan Rhodes and wife, Sarah, Blake Rhodes and wife, Ysenia, Nathan Jarrell; great-nephew, Diego Rhodes.
He is preceded in death by his parents and niece, Kelly Rhodes.
Pallbearers will be Walter King, Charlie Patterson, Paul Patterson, Dan Petty, Blake Rhodes and Greg Schmitz.
