J.K. Ray, 73, of Greenville died September 6, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be Sunday,September 9, 2007 at the Coker-Mathews Chapel with burial in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation is Saturday, September 8, 2007 from 6-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Ray was born October 3, l953 in Lone Oak,Tx.to Oscar Allen and Edna Pearl McGinnis Ray. He married Dorothy Jean Stark on December 31, l954 in Greenville,Tx. He served in the U.S. Marines and was retired from Kroger Grocery,produce department., and was a baptist.
Survived by his wife of Greenville, son, Danny Ray of Greenville, sister, Ruby Stuckey of Greenville, two grandchildren, Danny Lee Ray,II and Hunter Ray, three great-grandchildren, Destiny Lovell Ray, Skyla Daugherty and Devlin Daughtery.
Preceded in death by parents, son-Michael Keith Ray on June 8, l990 , four brothers and four sisters.
Pallbearers are Curtis Bloyed Jr., Brian Keith DeGarson,Gary DeGarso, George Ray Helton, Steve Ray, Jimmy William. Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Stone and Jimmy VIrgin.
