June Benner Page passed away peacefully on September 25, 2021 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  June was born to Richelieu and Warren T. Benner on November 26, 1938 in Vincennes, Indiana, but cherished her time growing up in Greenville, Texas where, after the death of her father, she was raised by her mother and her loving second father, Hughes White.  June graduated from Greenville High School in 1956 and was a proud Longhorn and member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority from the University of Texas at Austin, Class of 1960.

After college, June taught elementary school in San Antonio and Irving, Texas, ultimately settling in Dallas. June was an avid tennis player, but in 1989 she found her true calling at Hope for the Heart where she was instrumental in developing counseling material, which brought Biblical hope and practical help to others through written material and radio on over 100 topics and which was ultimately translated into 36 languages in 60 countries. June loved her seven grandchildren, and her favorite activity was watching and cheering on her six grandsons at one of their many sporting events.  All who knew June know that she was a loving, no-nonsense, practical lady who deeply loved the Lord.

June is preceded in death by her parents, Warren T. Benner and Richelieu and Hughes White. She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Page Clarke and son-in-law, Mitch; son, Jon Phillip Page, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Laurel; son, Thomas Hughes Page; six grandsons: John Mitchell Clarke, Jr., Christian Candler Clarke, Nicholas Page Clarke, Jon Phillip Page, III (Tres), Benner Neuhoff Page, and Jack Hughes Page; granddaughter, Finley Fay Page; and father of her children, Jon Phillip Page, Sr.

A visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. A small graveside service will be held at  3:00 p.m.  at Memoryland in Greenville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of June to Hope for the Heart ministry in Dallas, Texas (https://hopefortheheart.org).

"To Family and Friends of June Page -- What a fun and lovely person June was! I am so glad to have known June over the last few years. Our paths crossed many times at Hope for the Heart, and she was interesting and caring to be around. She always commented on a certain teal green handbag I used to carry, and now I wish I had just given it to her! Out of all the fun things I remember about June, the main thing is that I remember how she told me of her faith in the Lord as her personal Savior. She told me what a difference He made in her life, and hoped everyone she knew would realize that this is the most important decision anyone could make - that of accepting Him as Lord and Savior. That we all need this Savior, because she knew that none of us are without fault, including herself, which makes us need this Savior. I know that because of her decision for him at age 35, she is now walking those streets of gold. Knowing Him is what makes the difference between life and death for all eternity. We all miss her now, but knowing that she is in Heaven is what gives us strength to be happy for her right now. I hope each of you know that many people care about your loss. June was just a great person, and I'm fortunate to have known her! She loved all of you!"
