Tara June Flint, 49, of Royce City, Texas passed away on October 8th after a long illness. She was surrounded by many loved ones who will strive to honor her memory by living their lives to the fullest.
Tara was born in Oregon City, Oregon on August 29, 1972. She lived in Oregon until her late teens (when she met the future father of her boys). They moved to Alabama for a short while and got married before moving to Texas and starting their family. Years later they did separate, and she proceeded to live in the Houston area before moving north to the Dallas area.
Having grown up in Oregon she loved the outdoors and exploring the state every chance she had. She especially loved the ocean and joked that she must have been a mermaid in a past life. She loved to collect crystals and snow globes, and in her downtime, she loved to escape into a good book.
Her nature was to take care of others, so it’s no wonder she flourished in her career as an In-Home Health Aide. When our mother received her lung transplant, Tara left behind everything and moved back to Houston to live with our parents and care for our Mom. She truly was selfless when it came to her family!
Tara is survived by her mother, Patricia (June) Fouridis, bonus Dad, Dennis Fouridis, sister Lisa Copley, bonus brother Michael Cross and nephew Brandon Hunsaker. Her greatest achievements to date are her three incredible sons, Charles (Charlie), Patrick, and Alexander (Alex) Flint whom she loved more than anything! She is also missed dearly by her special friend Otis Brown. Tara also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Oregon who she absolutely adored. And having never met a stranger, Tara also leaves behind many, many friends that she considered her extended family whom she adored.
Tara is preceded in death by her father Raymond Hunsaker, stepmother Rosemary Hunsaker, both sets of grandparents, Aunt Ginny Rountree and Uncle Dewey Morris. Oh…the party that is happening in heaven now!
Tara’s Celebration of Life service will be at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home on Saturday, November 13th at 10:00 am. The funeral home is located at 5100 I-30 Frontage Rd. E. Greenville, Texas 75402
Financial donations are preferred via the GoFundMe link (https://gofund.me/2951a98f) that has been set up to help her son’s honor her final wishes to be taken to Florida for her final resting place.
