 James Howard Sandlin, Age 93, of Greenville passed away on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Greenville Health and Rehabilitation.  Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Coker-Mathews Chapel.  Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.  Visitation will be from l:00 PM until service time on Thursday.

Mr. Sandlin was born on May 25, 1915 in Hunt County to Osborn Goodrich Sandlin and Houstie V. Blankenship Sandlin.  On February 8, 1935, he married Nellie Fay Cummings in Greenville. He was retired from the Lone Star Gas Company where he worked as an appliance installer.  He was an avid horseman and a member of the Greenville Saddle Club.

His survivors include his son, Sam Sandlin and wife, Jenn of Bonham; daughters Shirley Flippin and husband, Rex of Sulphur Springs and Debbie Perez of Greenville; Grandchildren Ginger Huffman, Kelly Garrett, Lori Buchanan, Jason Sandlin, Tammy Gatlin, Amy Sandlin, Shawn Perez and Staci Perez; twelve great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife on June 1, 2008 and one son, Jack Sandlin.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Garrett, Chaz Garrett, Sam Barrow, Darren Barrow, Shawn Perez, Josh Perez, and Jason Sandlin.
