Timothy James McKinney, 67, of Sulphur Springs passed away on March 22, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Minister George Boyd Jr., officiating.
Timothy was born on March 15, 1955, in El Paso, Texas, to Marcus McKinney and Ouida Nalls McKinney. Timothy married Susan Smith on November 24, 1973. Timothy proudly served his country in The United States Air Force from 1973 – 1977 following in his father’s footsteps who was a World II and Korean War veteran. Timothy was a N/C electronics technician at FlowServe until his retirement at age 60. He was a hard-working individual who cherished his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren, those biological and those he chose to treat as his own grandchildren. He grew up in the Church of Christ faith.
Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Susan, sons Marc and Michael McKinney, daughter Melissa McClure, grandchildren Aslynn McClure and Athena Devlin, mother Ouida McKinney and sisters Kelly Nowlin and Kathy Sandlin.
Timothy is preceded in death by his father, son Matthew McKinney, daughter Melanie McKinney and sister Terry McKinney.
